7 Health and Stress Busting Tips for People Working from Home

People working from home feel more stressed and these tips will make you cope better and amp up productivity.

Pandemic or no pandemic, some of us tend to work long hours anyhow. It takes a lot out of us and at times there are can arise health issues that can haunt you for the rest of your life. Today, we want to emphasis on some health and fitness tips, so that you can be more productive and maintain your health at the same time.

 Set your priorities

If work has been or is your priority, then you will have to make some changes. Keep some time aside for activities that will refresh you. It might sound a waste of time for those who have deadlines to meet or have piles of work to finish, but trust me, if you will refresh your mind, you will get the work in time for sure. A stressed mind will never give you desired results. These activities can be anything, from watching a web series, listening to music or even gardening.

Cooking is fun

Everyone wants to eat delicious food. But often due to tight schedule, we get time to cook. But, you won’t believe how amazing it feels when you pull off a difficult dish or even a fine tasting breakfast. If you haven’t tried it yet, just pick a recipe and start cooking. You will love it.

Take up a project

Did you see Henry Cavill building his own gaming PC? It was a great video. You can also take up a project that opens up creative avenues for you. It is an amazing way to bring back the childhood excitement. You can do anything, do an oil painting, build your relaxing chair, start an aquarium, or maybe start your own blog. We always want to do projects that give us happiness, it is the right time, trust me.

Daily chores

Many people will ask you to take out time for workouts, but I know it is so boring to go through the same mundane routine exercises. Instead you can take up a chore at home and kill the boredom you feel while doing a workout. Pick up that broom and clean up the portico. Mop the floors, wash your car or even arrange your workstation more often than not. You will see that important tasks get finished in time, if you are more organised, living in a neat and clean house. You will also get the daily exercise your body requires.

Try hands free calling

If the nature of your work makes you use your phone more than usual, then it’s time to think how you can get active during long calls. Use your speaker phone while on conference calls. You can go to the terrace or the back lawn while having the discussion. This will help you distress a bit. Sitting for long hours on your workstation can prove to be very injurious to your health.

Keep water handy

It is a good idea to keep a water bottle handy while you work. The more you drink, the more you will use the washroom. That is good actually. It will give you a time out from back breaking work. Just stretch a bit or take a walk around the house so that you come back and refocus even better.

Try and relax

If you’re juggling a day full of meetings with a busy evening your stress levels are likely to be sky-high and stress has a horrible effect on your health and well-being. And one of the best things you can do in order to remain productive and fit is to learn how to relax. Research have found that even having a good laugh or spending time with your family can help you relax and decrease stress levels. If you are not a fan of meditation or a hot bath, then we suggest you can relax by listening to good music or reading a book.

These simple tips can help you get important tasks done in time while improving your lifestyle.
